Sportswear Edit

So we're three weeks into the New Year. How's everyone doing with their New Years resolutions so far?

I don't think I made it a secret that this will be the year that I improve my fitness, and with that I have found a huge love for the gym. An added bonus of that new love, is all the sportswear possibilities that comes with it. I've certainly become a person who would rather buy a new gym outfit than a fancy dress, but there is just so much to choose from! In this post I've put together a few pieces from each of my current favourite places to shop.
gymshark top picks - Fit form flex sereneGymshark is my number one obsession. I blame the beauty that is Nikki Blackketter, but it's totally cool. Gymshark offers amazing pieces which are not only stylish, but perfect for the regular gym go-er. If there was one item I would recommend to everyone, it would be the flex leggings. Oh em gee, these beauties could make anyone look like they have a banging booty; and they're incredibly comfy too. Keep your eyes peeled on the Gymshark website in the next few weeks as they're going to be dropping some new flex colour ways, and I am so very excited to the white banded ones. They're constantly releasing new bit here and there, so you really are spoilt for choice by them. Gymshark is where I go to when I have a little extra to spend. The prices may not be for everyone, but the pieces will last a lifetime and are well worth every penny. Their customer service is also top notch. Got an issue? No problem, they'll get it sorted as quick as they can.
USA Pro - Matalan Top Picks

My highstreet go to's are the likes of USA Pro (Sports Direct) and Matalan. USA Pro has been an old favourite of mine for years. The pieces are affordable, and whilst working with the likes of Little Mix, they're super stylish, and again very long lasting. I actually have a pair of USA Pro pants that I've owned for going on five years, and they're still like new. Matalan, on the other hand, is a new find of mine. I've been really impressed with the affordability of their pieces, as well as they're design and large range of choice. Next month I'm planning on buying a few staple bits, maybe a top, hoody and a pair of bottoms, just to see how they really last in comparison to my other top picks.
TK Maxx top picks - Under Armour, Asics, Puma

If you're wanting the quality of spending a little more, without actually splashing extra cash, of course you could go to TK Maxx. I've recently discovered their huge range of sportswear online. If your local, like mine, is a little lacking in style and sizes (hellooooo, not everyone can squeeze themselves into a small,) you'll be spoilt for choice if you choose to pay a visit to their website. Brands that have stood out for me there have been the likes of Under Armour, Puma, Asics and list goes on. Many items are generously discounted meaning you can feel a little fancier without actually spending more of your hard earned dough.

I could go on and on with this post, because let's face it, I have a problem. Every store/brand seems to have their own sportswear line at the moment, but I feel like you have to really search to pick out the good from the bad. No one wants to flash their undies to a full gym of people whilst squatting do they?

I feel like now is the time to be buying though. Try and catch the end of any January sales still going on (Sports Direct is a great go to) and get yourself some bargains. I hope this post has been of some help to anyone who, like me has felt a little overwhelmed by all the options. But, in reality, my biggest tip is to just buy things you're comfortable in. It will make all the difference to your confidence when you enter the gym for the first time. Look fabulous, feel fabulous.
