Total Fitness Crewe - My go to gym

Entrance way to Total Fitness Crewe

As many of you already know, I've been on a bit of a health and fitness journey for the past few months. The over all goal is gaining back my body confidence after massively losing it after having Scout.

When eating well wasn't doing enough, I took the next step and joined the gym.
I chose to join my local Total Fitness and I have to say, it's been the best decision I've made yet. Total Fitness offers many fitness and wellness options; from the high spec gym equipment and free weights, to studios and swimming pools.

Inside the women's only gym. There are many machines to use.
During my membership I have really enjoyed using the dedicated women only gym. That's not necessarily because I feel uncomfortable on the main gym floor, but I find the quieter atmosphere more of a pleasure to work out in. The women only gym has pretty much everything you would need to get the blood flowing and burning some calories; my personal favourites being the cross trainers and the leg press machine. The room is spacious, so if you are into using free weights, you have the option to do that too. If I had to pick one thing to put into the women's gym, it would be a cable machine. The main gym has a fair few of these, and I feel this may be the only machine the women's gym is lacking.

The swimming pool is also a great asset to the gym. Not only does it boast a 25m lane pool, it also has an amazing hydrotherapy massage pool (and I mean amazing, btw) and a smaller, more shallow family pool. I took Scout to the family pool last week, and he loved every second. The pool is warm, clean and spacious enough to not feel cramped with the other families.

If when you're done with your workout/swim, you want to relax a little, you can nip into one of the few saunas available. There is one in each changing room, and one pool side; along with a steam room.

Speaking of changing rooms; they have recently undergone a complete refurbishment and redesign. The changing rooms are incredibly spacious, and offer large lockers, private changing rooms for single gym users and families, and incredibly clean, warm showers. If after your workout you're rushing off to work, or to meet friends for coffee, there is also a selection of large, well lit mirrors and hairdryers for you to use.

Lastly, I'd like to say that the staff at my gym are very polite, super helpful and always there if you need a hand. The gym and equipment are well looked after, and it really does show as soon as you enter the building.

I've used several gyms in the past, and Total Fitness really does cater for every need. I can't really speak for the lessons or groups activities, as this is something I'm yet to experience; but I'm always really happy to walk through those doors on an early morning after dropping Scout off at nursery.

Joining Total Fitness has done wonders for my body confidence so far, and I will keep going until I'm no longer happy with the service I am paying for; which I can't see happening anytime soon.
