Spectrum Collections - Siren Brushes Review

If you're obsessed with make-up, the likelihood is that you're also obsessed with brushes.
We all know the dread you feel when you have to wash the blighters, but the we also know the huge rush of excitement when some new beauties appear on your doorstep.
I've needed an excuse to buy some new brushes for a while now, so when Spectrum announced their Siren collection, I knew I had to have them!

The Siren collection is currently being sold as two sets, Sculpt and Smoke. The collection boasts a simple black handle, blue to black bristles, and the most beautiful rainbow duo chrome ferrules; which make them the most beautiful, show stopping brushes I have ever seen.

The Sculpt set is a collection of Spectrums five best selling brushes. All of which can be used to create the perfect base for any look.
This set contains - the large powder brush, angled powder brush, precision blush brush, flat top buffer brush and flat top contour brush.
This set is priced at £44.99.

The smoke set is the perfect little kit to ensure you create the best looks.
The kit again contains some of Spectrums best brushes.
When purchasing the Smoke set, you will receive the buffing concealer brush, the large shader brush, the angled shader, tall tapered blender, fine detailer, angled brow and finally the lip liner brush.
This set is priced at £39.99.

All of the brushes are some of the best quality brushes I have ever used. The bristles are incredibly soft and achieve amazing results. I can also vouch for the fact that they wash up really nicely too.
I have been using a previous eye kit of theirs for over a year now, and I have not seen see any shedding of bristles or wear signs to the ferrules; and I'm hoping for the same from these.

Price wise, I feel you are totally getting what you pay for. When you divide the price of each set between brushes, I feel like for the quality of the brushes themselves, you're getting a bargain.

On top of that, these brushes photograph magnificently. Now, I don't know how often you'd want to take photos of your make-up brushes, but I didn't want to stop. Just look at them!

If you want to purchase either, or maybe even both, of these sets, they are available over at

  1. Did the smoke brushes come with a case?

Totally thinking of buying these but don't want to shell out if they don't have a case!

    Loved the review! xx

    1. Both of the sets came in a separate pouch like the one you can see in the photo. I believe if you buy the complete collection rather than the two sets as separates, they come in an even snazzier case. When I purchased these, they hadn't released them as a full collection yet. Hope this helps.
